My lifelong ambition has always been to be an artist. I initially pursued photography, but then took a 23 year diversion into pottery, making wheel-thrown tableware which I sold in local galleries. Upon retirement in Colorado, I found myself taking landscape photographs whenever hiking, thus beginning my current full-time artistic pursuit of outdoor photography.
I began photography in college working in black & white. However, I’ve discovered during my time spent outdoors in the woods and the mountains that I am as interested in the colors and textures of my surroundings as I am in the topography and foliage.
